This is a beautiful and approachable Rhone style red with a very earthy and almost meaty nose to it whereupon the palate is buoyant of fresh, creamy raspberry and black cherries, a little savoury style and well integrated oak. The flavours go on and on, all the while ticking off the pennies you paid for it and giving you unadulterated pleasure in return. Lovely with a rustic provencal herb infused stew or rich game dish.
