You can see and almost taste the sea from this winery and that fresh, almost salty, vibrant character comes through in each of the few but excellent wines. Claire was lucky enough to be at Amayna when they first brought out the Syrah and was blown away with it (had to get that in somewhere). This is a very concentrated wine and very Rhone in style, full, yet elegant and not jammy, its a beauty with its bold blackberry, blueberry, peppery and spicy qualities with a long finish and almost a floral violet nose. A cracker with some heavy duty Roast Pork, Lamb or rich pasta dish.
