Inspira is the 2nd label from Vina Chocolan and it's fabulous. The outstanding Chocolan wines are now gaining international recognition and the key to their quality is the placing of their vineyards. They are in a part of Maipo not planted in before between the Andes and the coastal mountain range so the heat of ythe days are mitigated by long cooling breezes at night, ensuring a long ripening period, so more elegant and less jammy wines as a result. The 2007 Inspira is brilliant ruby red and has very fruit forward plummy aromas, hints of cassis and other red fruit. On the palate it shows excellent varietal character and is beautifully balanced with soft, elegant tannins, medium body and a smooth finish.
