A bit of an enigma this one, but well worth the try. An austere and intensive nose of cherries and black pepper. Stewed sour cherries completed by a hint of vanilla and lilac, spicy, dense, dry, but still juicy, fruit driven, fine tannins and inviting flavours of dark berries and cherries with a zesty finish. Bizarre, very tasty, and great with rustic woodland wild pig dishes and fatty terrines.
