Year: 2010
Country: Italy

In Puglia a "masseria" is a farm and "pietrosa" means stony referring to poor stony soils in which the vines of the estate lie. The estate is part of the excellent San Marzano co-operative and the wines show excellent value with great freshness and scented fruit character. Tremendous value for money, it smells and tastes of warm cherry pie along with other dark berries and Italian herbs, all with a long finish and a good acidity. Perfect with tomato and garlic based pasta sauces.
