The Isabel has always been a little more complex than most other sauvignons and this vintage has maintained that reputation. Very pronounced grassy, gooseberry aromas with herbal hints of lime and mint make it a classic Marlborough bouquet. Once on the palate it is mouth filling and full bodied with ripe passionfruit, citrus and melon, crisp acidity, a considerable depth of flavour and a long balanced finish. A wine very capable of some bottle age but equally is drinking perfectly now.
