Our price:
This wine is bursting with ripe peaches, passion fruit and grapefruit with touches of cedar, dried herbs and fresh straw. On the palate notes of fig and lemon zest are also prominent. This wine is generous in body with a beautifully refreshing acidity and long length. An exciting example of Sauvignon Blanc that is very different from it's French and Kiwi counterparts.
This is the first Sauvignon Blanc dominant wine by Orin Swift outside of the Napa Valley and is produced from fruit sourced from the Russian River Valley. The cooler climate brings out a different expression of the varietal – slightly more nervy and less ripe with lots of acidity and texture. There is 5% of Semillon (from 127 year old vines) added to the blend to give more texture to the wine.
