Eastern Mediterranean and the Levant ; Wine and Food Pairing Evening, C&K and Dotty in the Kitchen, Thursday 11th April, 7pm

It has been some time since we hosted a food and wine collaboration focussed on the Eastern Med and the Lebanon, so we thought it was time to resurrect such an evening. Winemaking has been integral to this region for thousands of years and Turkey alone has up to 1,000 indigenous grape varieties, but the region, perhaps barring the Lebanon, has until recently received rather less recognition for its wines than others. Its all change in this respect. Both Claire and Mo have visited Turkish wineries over 1,000 miles apart and witnessed its revitalisation first hand. The Greek wine scene has made huge strides in recent years and the Lebanon continues to produce gorgeous wines against all the odds.

Many more of us have been exposed to the glorious Mezze enjoyed all over the Eastern Med and the Middle East. This time we will savour a mezze of tasty courses of eastern delights, produced by Dotty in the Kitchen who has collaborated with us on a number of food and wine matching evenings and produces the most delicious plates every single time.

A welcome drink and five wines a mezze for every table and a bit of chat to enlighten us all on the grapes and the wineries of the region. The event will start at 7 pm, but get there for 6.50 and it will be £50 per ticket.
