The right wine with the right dish is a wonderful thing. We can help you out in different ways. Our descriptions and food symbols on the website can help you to make the right choice when you are buying wine online.
Or, and much more enjoyable, we offer a bespoke free service in the shop. This can be as simple as guiding you to the right wine when you ask us what to drink with your steak or crab. Or as comprehensive as learning the details of your dinner party, wedding breakfast or Christmas celebration and selecting the optimum wines for each course.
During Lockdown in 2020/21 our food and wine pairing escalated considerably as we provided a wine pairing service for the happy recipients of restaurant boxed meals at home. This included recommending wine to go with food from Michelin starred House of Tides, Rogan and Co, the Black Swan at Oldstead and Hjem, through to Café 21, the Patricia and Kaltur. This service will continue as long as the Restaurants continue to provide their at home service.
We have been food and wine pairing for over ten years now and we love nothing better than this type of challenge, so it’s your duty to get our brain cells whirring on behalf of your next project.

Carruthers & Kent is an enoteca, bottle shop, deli and events space housing over 500 artisan wines and a counter full of cheeses and charcuterie. You can come in person to shop, taste, have a light bite to eat meet friends or you can order online for delivery or click and collect. Here you can try, buy and discover new wines and wineries.
