Domaine du Tunnel is situated in an old steam train tunnel in the charming village of Saint-Péray in the Northern Rhône. This small family domaine is run by Stéphane Robert and his wife Sandrine. Stéphane, also the winemaker, began by renting vines in 1994 when he was just 24 years old. He now owns 10 hectares of vines located in Cornas, Saint-Péray and Saint-Joseph.
The Saint-Péray is made from 100% Roussanne and is fermented in a combination of stainless steel and four-year-old barriques, then aged on its lees for nine months.
This Roussanne is a bright lemon colour. The nose has aromas of apricots, white flowers and lightly toasted brioche. The palate is fruity with well-balanced acidity and a mineral finish.
