Domäne Wachau is one of the iconic producers of this breathtakingly beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its terraced vineyards are strung along the steep banks of the Danube river, on a patchwork of terroirs that provide endless nuance to the Grüner Veltliner and Riesling grapes that grow there.
Ried Achleiten is one of the most extraordinary sites in the Wachau, known for wines with great uniqueness. A smoky minerality, subtle flinty notes and a very complex structure are typical for Achleiten wines. Grüner Veltliner from this vineyard has a particularly fine herbal spice, as well as delicate stone fruit notes and some exotic aromas.
