The work of oenologist Luis Duarte & Mafalda Vasques in their vineyards is more than just a passion. The establishment of the estate & the cultivation of the vines, as well as a custom state-of-the-art wine cellar, are all based on the latest findings in high-end viticulture.
Immediately from harvesting, the grapes go for overnight storage in a cool room at 8°C. The following day they are hand selected, destemmed & gently pressed. The must is ‘cold-settle’ for up to 2 days, from here all fermentation is performed in concrete tanks! Ageing for 6 months with battonage & sur lies throughout. Choosing spherical concrete, over barricas was a choice based entirely on concretes fantastic stabilizing effect on temperature. Keeping a natural & neutral profile to the wine.
Golden green colour, white floral & citric fruit aromas. On the palate a complex & rich structure of minerality & fruit. Perfectly balanced with a citric acidity!
