The Cornerstone has always been an important wine within the Reyneke range. The workers form the cornerstone of the farm and winery, and the proceeds of this wine goes toward education and housing projects, that improve their lives directly.

This classical Bordeaux style blend combines freshness with intense concentration, showcasing the best of Stellenbosch. Notes of ripe blackberry and violets follow the nose. Red fruit dominates on the entry of the palate, with notes of cassis, dried oregano and mace. This wine shows great complexity, with a velvety mouthfeel and plush tannins that contribute to the length of the finish.
Fermented in concrete Nomblot fermentors. Thereafter, the wine spends 18 months in French oak barrels, of which 30% is new fill and 70% is second and third fill.
