In placing an order with Carruthers & Kent you are confirming that you are 18 years of age or older. It is illegal to sell alcohol to anybody under 18.
On giving your (debit or credit card) details to Carruthers & Kent you are confirming that you are either the card holder or that you have received permission from the card holder to use it to purchase wine from us. In the event your claiming a free glass of wine (as a gift from our company for instance) you will still have to provide us with card details.
For your own security, we reserve the right to contact your card issuer as a check.
If we cannot fulfil an order for any reason we reserve the right to cancel it. If your order is cancelled, we will contact you to explain fully why we have taken this course of action.
No payment will be taken from your card until your case/goods have been parcelled and dispatched or your monthly subscription is due. We will retain and securely store your card details so that it is easier to process your orders, but will only do so with your permission.
We provide two types of delivery service.
Our own company driver and van delivers locally within a 48 hour window unless otherwise specified on receiving your order. Minimum orders needed to secure free delivery to the following post codes must be £50 or over. There will be a local £10 delivery charge of orders £50 or over to the following post codes.( NE47, NE48, NE49, NE65,NE66,NE67,NE68,NE69,NE70,SR8, DH1, Dh6,DH8,DH97,DH99)
Our decorative food and wine hampers are limited to our local delivery service and are subject to the same limits and terms and conditions.
For delivery via our national courier service our standard delivery times is within 48 hours of ordering before 1pm weekdays. We use a reputable courier. The minimum order via courier service is £50. Courier delivery to England, Southern Scotland and Wales is £12 for the first case and each case thereafter. Courier delivery to north of Glasgow and the Scottish Islands is £20 for the first case, then £12 for each case thereafter.
Any promotions, discounts or vouchers are single use only and not to be used in conjunction with any other promotion, discount or voucher unless otherwise stated. Vouchers and discounts must be used within the time and terms specified by Carruthers & Kent.
Products displayed on our website are offered in real time and therefore any offer may be withdrawn without advance notice.
Sometimes we may not be able to fulfil your exact order (supply shortages, temporarily out of stock with the suppliers or late deliveries) in these instances we may substitute bottles with wines that we think correspond to your like’s and are the same value as the wines you have ordered. We will endeavour to check with you before we do this.
We enjoy choosing your wines and know that you will enjoy drinking them. However if you receive a wine that is faulty please return it to us and we will provide you with a replacement to the same value or a credit note.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. In the event of any claim or dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms and any orders placed thereunder, the Courts of England will have exclusive jurisdiction over them.
